‘Moving’ – Tinder For Tenants on Newstalk

Property Button CEO, Jim Urell, appeared on Newstalk’s Lunchtime Live Show, Wednesday the 30th of May 2018, to discuss with Ciara Kelly how Tenants can now match with suited properties to rent and stand out from a crowd of applicants.

For Tenants searching high and low for properties to rent, by creating your Tenant Profile (LinkedIn for Renters & eventually Buyers) you can increase your chances of surfacing to the top of an application list of a property suited to you. You can apply for any property by sharing your public profile on Daft or MyHome and find out where you are ranked in the application list. Control your private data and share with validated Property Managers in a secure way. The profile provides you with stats on how likely you are to be chosen for the property and makes suggestions on how to improve your chances of being selected for viewing. The more effort you put into completing your Tenant Profile, the higher your chances are of being selected. You can add more information to improve your score, such as validated previous tenancy references, validated work references, proof of ID, proof of address, social links, etc…

For the first time, it puts the power into the Tenants’ hands and allows you to prove you are an excellent choice for a rental you are interested in. Tenants can use their Tenant Profile to communicate everything property related to Property Managers from application to scheduling viewing times, offers, move-in dates and lease agreements through to eventually raising trouble tickets about an issue with their washing machine.

The service is an extension of Property Button’s previous offering to Tenants, which was identifying all energy, media and waste services available at a new Tenant’s property through API lookup, then allowing the new Tenant to set up all their set up their electricity, gas, broadband, TV, phone and bin services from their free account in the one place.

The Tenant Profile is free to Tenants and allows for new Tenants to find out what energy, media and waste services are available at their new home and get set up ahead of moving day. You can sign up for your Tenant Profile here.
